Rotary District 7850 Speech Contest
April 15, 2021 – Jintao Yue representing the Rotary Club of Lebanon was the winner of Rotary District 7850’s Speech Contest. Yue is a junior at Kimball Union Academy. Jintao’s from Tianjin, China, and he has great passions in acting, singing, video-production, and public speaking. He enjoys studying science too.
The theme of this year’s speech contest was, How can you and your local Rotary Clubs work together to improve your community and open new opportunities for you and other students?
Yue spoke about toxic masculinity. He challenged us as Rotarians to:
“Imagine the potential for building goodwill and better friendships in a world where we embrace positive masculine traits. I am going to work towards this goal, and I hope that the Rotary Club can help everyone achieve this end.”
We congratulate him on being the winner of this year’s contest.
